I was all set to post about the piece that has inspired my newest project, but I can't for the life of me find the article! I was sure I'd bookmarked it, but clearly not.*
Anyway, lately I've been thinking a lot about turning one of my images into a cross-stitch piece.
Here's the beginnings - if you click on this image, and enlarge it, you'll see that I've pixellated it and put a grid over the top. My next job is to work out what colours to use - there's about 25 in there.
I'll keep you all posted on this project - I'm pretty sure it'll take a while!

* Recently I read a blog featuring a graffitied wall that an artist had turned into a cross-stitch. If any readers know what I'm talking about, please please link me up!

Today I'm eating expensive imported cherries and dreaming of summer.
Edna Bizon, White Cherries
This past week I've felt like spring is just around the corner! The magnolia in the garden on the corner is budding, and the days are getting longer. I love this time of year.

Flickering...
I've had a Flickr account for a while now, but it's only been recently that I've started using it properly.

A rare Saturday.
Today I didn't go to work. Instead, I rode the tram all the way out to St Kilda to check out the Veg Out Farmer's Market in St Kilda.
I wandered around the market for a while, sniffing and tasting but, unhappily, a lack of funds meant that I couldn't actually buy anything. So after a couple of laps, I headed over to the oval next door to watch the St Kilda City FC reserves team play (they won!).
Tonight I'm heading out to the Tote to see my favourite ever band, Love Of Diagrams, at their single launch. I can't wait to hear their new album!
Have a good weekend!
