Kingston.

Sunday/Monday afternoon outings have become a bit of a Thing in my household.  Today we braved the freezing wind and icy rain and ventured to Kingston beach.  Luckily, we were rewarded with sunshine and rainbows!

Kingston Beach.
I'm seriously keen to move down there now - housing is super-cheap, and getting to live next to such a pretty beach would be wonderful!  The only snag would be the commute into town every day...  we'll see.  It's tempting!

Sunday afternoon.

Sky

J and I went walking yesterday afternoon in the hills surrounding our suburb.

Look!  Up in the sky!

I like the way these boots are just hanging out in the window.  I like the reflection in the upper windows, too.

Spring in a Mason jar.

Spring in a mason jar.

More pilfered blooms.  I love cherry blossoms and daffodils - they signal the end of winter and that means my birthday is right around the corner!

Later on this afternoon I'm going to go for a walk with Jem and take some pictures, but for now I'm relaxing at home and making the most of the breezy sunshine by tackling my mountain of laundry.

Hope you've had a lovely weekend!  xoxo

Stuff I like today.

You all know I love JTE.  His brand new album magically landed on my kitchen table for me to find when I got home this afternoon.  Thanks, mister postman!
I also love picking flowers from the side of the road to pretty up my little house.  My boyfriend calls it stealing but I call it sharing.  What do you think?

Fireflies.

Check out these amazing long-exposure photos of fireflies by German photographer Kristian Cvecek - they're just stunning!

Warriors

I watched The Warriors last night and, today, came across this set of photos taken in the NY subway in the 1980s.  I like it when life works in sync.

Terry is as tough as Marlon Brando.

I'm stuck at home tonight with red wine, cherry chocolates and YouTube.  Every time I watch this video I find myself wishing my hair would flip like Kirsty's.  As for the song, it's wonderful and always makes me smile.

(Also check out this video, featuring Lemmy on guitar!)

Mt Nelson, Sunday.

Sunday, Mt Nelson.

My young friend Mary took this awesome photo of me with my Olympus Trip 35 last weekend.  I love it that I can step out my front door and be in dense bushland within 5 minutes.
